EDUCATION POINTS

What is JustALCHEMY™?

We operate as a private social club of creatives and guild of makers (at all levels of interest).

How are the products crafted?

JustALCHEMY™ products

The Beyond Six-Star quality-standard method commences with highest-quality starting material then crafted by technicians observing monk-like practices (peace-filled incantations, prayer, blessings with kosher / halal standards and ancient wisdom) each batch is sonically charged with fine tuned harmonics (sacred tones (432+ hertz), high-minded quantum sonic waves (783 to 963 hertz), (deep learning audio-casts) that are formulated specific to each product. Harmonic frequencing profiles are amplified throughout the lab process. Our spiritual standard of practice is succinct synergy. This resolute practice produces absolute active ingredients maximizing the therapeutic value of the highest-vibratory-resonance of each active compound, pristine.

What is the difference between recreational formulas / blends and therapeutic formulas / blends?

At Just Alchemy™ all of our products retain and offer therapeutic value. Therapeutic formulas / blends offer more potency for a further / deeper reaching impact. Recreational formulas / blends offer effective potency for a range of uses.

What is whole plant medicine?

The belief that whole plants are used to treat whole people and is the heart of traditional herbal medicine.  The entourage effect is what happens when various compounds work in harmony to create synergistic effects on the body. A great example of the entourage effect in action can be found in combining THC and CBD. Isolates remove potentially beneficial compounds.  Maintaining the integrity of the whole plant, or at least representation of the whole plant is key to maximizing benefits experienced as naturally found in the plant curated toward medicinal use.

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurvedic medicine (“Ayurveda” for short) is one of the world’s oldest holistic (“whole-body”) healing systems. It was developed more than 3,000 years ago in India. It’s based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit.

lilacs and bees…

What is an ethnoBotanical?

A plant that is used across cultures. A branch of ethnobotany that studies plants use/lore and agricultural customs of a people. It is the science of studying how plants are used to make food, clothing, shelter and medicine. The study of a region’s plants and their practical uses through the traditional knowledge of a local culture and people (ethnobotany).

What are adaptogens?

Adaptogens or adaptogenic substances are used in herbal medicine for the claimed stabilization of physiological processes and promotion of homeostasis.  Cannabis and kava among other plants, roots and mushrooms are adaptogens allowing for your body to determine optimum use to achieve harmony. In general, adaptogens work to normalize your physiological functions by regulating your adrenal system. This in turn helps your body respond productively to stress, fight fatigue, improve focus, boost energy and reduce anxiety. Determining the dose is key.

What are cannabinoids?

Are any of a group of closely related compounds that include cannabinol and the active constituents of cannabis.

What is a terpene?

Is any of a large group of volatile unsaturated hydrocarbons found in the essential oils of plants, especially conifers and citrus trees. They are based on a cyclic molecule having the formula C10H16.  Terpenes are a large and diverse class of organic compounds, produced by a variety of plants and by some insects. They often have a strong odor and may protect the plants that produce them by deterring herbivores and by attracting predators and parasites of herbivores.

What is primary-resin separation and ice water hash (Bubble Hash)?

Primary resin separation is a process in which the Aumfruit or trichome head (fatty-lipid balsam nucleated cell) is cured away from the cannabis fiber sans mutilation of the plant.  Using ice, filters and whirlpool techniques, a range of the levels, from prime to varied cannabinoids, trichomes heads or Aumfruit is collected and dry sifted to produce a hash. This method is supreme as it maintains the integrity of the resin without plant material molestation allowing a pristine separation of the cannabinoids.  Ice water hash is achieved by way of primary-resin separation, hash is hashish achieved by ancient practices brought to us by Persia Arabia between 7th and 10th century. Mongols and Sufis are credited with spreading the use of hashish (charas- hand rubbed, later sieved, ingested prior any recount found of smoke, Afghani most ancient culture still in use and Morocco largest producer (since 60s)).

What is Beyond Six-Star quality-standards?

First of all, six-star quality is a cannabis flower or concentrate (“material”) curated with the finest care and techniques to provided the cleanest results.  Beyond Six-Star cures the six-star quality standard with harmonically sound energetic cleanse along the path from point of receipt of the material throughout blending and packaging.  Sacred tones, clear vibrations of those activating the process, prayer, positive intention and blessing are placed upon each and every batch of JustALCHEMY™ products.

What are CB1 and CB2 receptors?

Cannabinoid receptors, located throughout the body, are part of the endocannabinoid system, which is involved in a variety of physiological processes including appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory. There are at least two types of cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2, both coupled to G-proteins (G proteins, also known as guanine nucleotide-binding proteins, are a family of proteins that act as molecular switches inside cells, and are involved in transmitting signals from a variety of stimuli outside a cell to its interior.). CB1 receptors are present in the central nervous system and CB1 and CB2 receptors in certain peripheral tissues. The existence of endogenous cannabinoid receptor agonists has also been demonstrated. These discoveries have led to the development of selective cannabinoid CB1 and CB2 receptor ligands.

The CB1 receptor transduces signals in response to CNS-active constituents of Cannabis sativa, such as the classical cannabinoid ((−)-Δ9-THC, 1, Chart 1) and to three other structural classes of ligands, the non-classical cannabinoids typified by CP55940 (2, Chart 1) [17, 18], the aminoalkylin-doles (AAIs) typified by WIN55212-2 (3, Chart 1) [19–21] and the endogenous cannabinoids. The non-classical cannabinoids clearly share many structural features with the classical cannabinoids, e.g. a phenolic hydroxyl at C-1 (C2’), and alkyl side chain at C-3 (C-4’), as well as, the ability to adopt the same orientation of the carbocyclic ring as that in classical cannabinoids [22]. The AAIs, on the other hand, bear no obvious structural similarities with the classical/non-classical cannabinoids. The CB2 receptor recognizes the same structural groups of cannabinoid agonists as CB1, with differing affinities in some cases, for example CB2 has higher affinity for aminoalkylindoles (see 3, Chart 1) [63]. sn-2-arachidonoyl-glycerol (2-AG; 8, Chart 2) was isolated from intestinal tissue and identified to be the CB2 endogenous ligand [37, 64]. While AEA has low CB2 affinity, 2-AG does bind as well to CB1 [37, 64]. The CB1/CB2 classical/non-classical cannabinoid SAR literature clearly shows a difference in recognition of side chains between CB1 and CB2. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4120766/)

Apoptosis: the death of cells that occurs as a normal and controlled part of an organism’s growth or development.  Cannabinoids have efficacy is affecting cell death and growth.

What is THC, THCa, CBD, CBG and CBN (a few of the popular cannabinoids)?

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the chemical responsible for most of marijuana’s psychological effects. It acts much like the cannabinoid chemicals made naturally by the body.  Suggested maximum heat range (dependant on material form (flower, concentrate, hash)) 350 to 420 degrees fahrenheit.

Tetrahydrocannabinolic Acid (THCA), is the non-intoxicating precursor that becomes THC when exposed to heat over a prolonged period of time.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is non-psychoactive or less psychoactive than THC-dominant strains makes it an appealing option for patients looking for relief from inflammation, pain, anxiety, psychosis, seizures, spasms, and other conditions without disconcerting feelings of lethargy or dysphoria.  Suggested maximum heat 350 degrees fahrenheit, preferred 170 to 200 degrees fahrenheit.

Cannabigerol (CBG) is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid, meaning it doesn’t produce the “highs” that are synonymous with THC. Because it is present in low levels (usually less than 1%) in most cannabis strains, CBG is considered a minor cannabinoid.

Cannabinol (CBN) is a metabolized (oxidized) cannabinoid, when THC is introduced to oxygen it changes.  It has a unique profile of effects pain relief, promotes growth of bone cell, anti-insomnia, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-convulsive and appetite stimulant.

What is the difference between sativa, indica, hybrids and strains or varietal, terpenes and terpene systems?……(STILL IN PROGRESS)….

It’s all about cannabinoids, isolations, purity levels, methods of ingestion, body types and aimed solution. The difference between the mentioned in question is a variation of ratios between cannabinoids and quality levels.  Strains, when viewed under microscope and tested reveal the specifics of what comprises the strain and the ratio between THC, CBD etc. matched with terpene profiles all add to the facts to access a blend of cannabinoids that produces desired results. This section is still in process as more research is available…

What is decarboxylation?

Is the process of removing a carboxyl group (a carbon atom double-bonded to an oxygen atom) from a molecule. In the cannabis world, this process occurs when a carbon atom is removed from a carboxylic acid (namely THCa, and CBDa). Heating your cannabis (via vaporizing, smoking, or by cooking) will cause a chemical bond to break off of the THCa molecule and convert it to THC. The same thing occurs when CBD is formed from CBDa. Once your cannabis has been decarboxylated it can be consumed in its present state. Any capsule or oil based products from your licensed producer have already been decarboxylated. Your non-decarboxylated herbal cannabis however must still be heated to receive the full medicinal effect. This is usually achieved by vaporization. (https://www.canabomedicalclinic.com/the-process-of-decarboxylation/)

How to determine individual dose or serving size?

Knowledge is power and imperative to make an educated decision.  Being in alignment with your body needs is key to determining appropriate serving size for dosing any type of medicine, therapeutic or recreational plant or synthetic medicine.  With cannabis take into consideration the amount and type of cannabinoids in the product, (if this is unknown a respectful suggestion that you do not ingest). A serving for flower ranges between 3 to 10g, when smoking much is lost in the process of smoking, with vaporization you receive a clearer dose.  With concentrates a range between 3mg for relief or recreation and 30mg+ for therapeutic reasons or treatment of terminal illness. The effects are also shifted when metabolized via oral ingestion. It is best to start with one to three drops, increasing one drop at a time or a dime 10 to 25mg serving for spreads or butters for recreation or therapeutic intentions.  Topically speaking, the skin has little effect on the internal processing or metabolizations of the organs, hence little to no unwanted symptom is experienced with this method.

According to www.weedindex.io: A joint max THC content is .32g = 320mg → 42mg THC (13% max THC of 320mg*13=42mg)

DoseSmoke / inhale Eating
Light dose → 0.05g2mg to 4mg
Common dose → 0.15g3mg to 8mg
Strong dose → 0.25g4mg to 15mg

Potency variance between flower and concentrate?

An average conversion between an ounce of flower into concentrate will yield ~3g, a concentrate is ~93% more potent than flower / herb.

What is a legacy farmer and why are they important to the rapidly growing cannabis culture?

Is a farmer that has been growing cannabis prior any form of legalization.  They are important to the culture and the emerging ever-expanding industry as spirit keepers of the plant essence.  They are a pinnacle reminder of our birthright to commune with nature is of the utmost importance to protect. As not to ever be regulated to hold any human from the ability to grow or work with the medicine of nature. Cannabis is an opportunity to set standards, as a people, that exceed any (agricultural or other) regulatory agency to include Beyond Six-star standards. Humans deserve clean and clear access to food,  water and education. The legacy growers are the culture-bearers and earth workers that exemplify natural, sustainable-science and whole living.

What hardships are being encountered by pre-prop 64 cannabis producers?

Legacy farmers and producers of cannabis products in California are facing issues with licensing, pay-to-play situations and financial safety.  Big money is being thrown at the industry by corporate entities and money moguls who know little to nothing about the sacred plant that we have grown to love for its healing and transformative properties.  We must advocate, speak about and keep in mind those that have come before us and paved the way for our ability to engage with this mythical friend and partner in reflecting our ills and ways of becoming whole again and again.  Simple ways to advocate is by investing only in products that speak to high-values and standards in operation, treatment of nature and humans, and production of goods. Bringing this topic up in conversation with strangers, friends and loved ones is a way to keep the subject alive and vibrant. Visioning that the most pristine growers / producers, in values and action, receive a clear smooth and fair pathway to becoming licenced to maintain their business is most helpful.  Everything starts with a single vision, followed by action, step-by-step we shift reality to match conjoined vision.
